HBA's Yesenia Hernandez-Brito named the Above the Call Award Winner at the Admin Awards
Yesenia has proven herself critical to the organization’s success by streamlining processes, creating efficiencies and supporting transitions. She assumed her position at HBA as the executive office manager supporting the CEO and COO, and within a month of her start date, the CEO of 14 years announced her retirement. While the organization was in limbo, Yesenia didn’t miss a beat — she managed board sessions for the global board, created live presentations and agendas, and worked overtime to ensure everything was seamless for executive leaders. It’s no wonder her colleagues say she’s “diligent, detailed and dedicated.”
Founded in 2012 by CEO Sunny Nunan, the daughter of a retired Executive Secretary, the Admin Awards is the Administrative Profession’s highest honor and nationally known as the “Academy Awards for Admins.” It is the first and only public recognition program of its kind that specifically focuses on recognizing the achievements, dedication and importance of Administrative Professionals in nine award categories. The Admin Awards currently operates in 9 markets across the U.S., including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, the Pacific Northwest, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Washington D.C.
“We created the Admin Awards to honor the backbones of organizations,” Nunan said. “Administrative Professionals are critical to the success of their leaders and organizations and give their all to make others successful. Yesenia is a perfect example of the talent and tenacity that it takes to be a successful Administrative Professional in today’s environment. Her dedication, service and loyalty are an inspiration to all.”
The Washington D.C. Admin Awards was held on August 25th at the Waldorf Astoria, Washington D.C. For additional information about the Admin Awards, visit adminawards.com.
