HBA Announces Interim CEO

Wendy White

The HBA announces Wendy White will serve as HBA’s interim CEO, effective 14 February.

Our United Force for Change community is familiar with Wendy from her seasoned tenure with the HBA. She has been a key contributor to our mission and growth serving in numerous leadership roles including HBA Chicago Chapter President, Building Better Business Connections (3BC) Committee Chair, and Advisory Board Committee Chair, as well as on the HBA Board of Directors including Global Board Chair in 2015.

In fact, her contributions to the HBA during the last 15 years have earned her honors as our Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition (STAR) recipient this year.

Wendy is known in our network as a purpose driven and strategic-minded entrepreneur with a successful track record of building and growing companies. She is a pioneer in the area of social media and patient-centered rare disease marketing, having integrated Siren Interactive, the digital marketing agency she founded and built, to Dohmen Life Sciences (now Eversana). She also served as a Chief Patient Officer for Vitrisa Therapeutics.

Her diverse industry experience also includes roles on several boards and advisory boards including as board director for CEEK Women’s Health a fast growing privately held for-profit company that makes a medical device named by Time magazine as one of the top inventions in 2020.

In her role as interim CEO, Wendy will engage primarily with our core stakeholder cohort around our shared mission and new vision by interfacing with the Global Board, the Advisory Board, and the Chairs Emeritae, and provide strategic support and consult to COO Amy Crolius who will have interim expanded operational accountabilities.
