Announcing HBA’s Q4 Key Liaison Awardees

2022 HBA q4 Key Liaison Awardees

The HBA is proud to announce our Q4 honorees for the Key Liaison Awards:

  • Kim Castellucci, Associate Director, Procurement, Daiichi Sankyo

"Kim Castellucci joined the Daiichi Sankyo/HBA partnership team in 2020, amidst the pandemic, working from home and the challenge of re-engaging Daiichi's HBA members! Kim, together with Shannon Trudelle and Monika Issa, doubled HBA event attendance within two years and successfully lobbied for an increased, purple level, global partnership for Daiichi Sankyo. Kim meets regularly with the global Daiichi Sankyo liaisons where she works with her counterparts in Germany and Japan to be sure the partner benefits are being utilized fairly and to the fullest. She has a "can do" attitude and when there's an HBA process that is awkward or involves too many steps, she is not shy to call it out and provide suggestions for improvement. Kim has worked with several HBA staff members to improve our processes and is always so gracious when we are able to resolve her questions. Daiichi's HBA members now have a "webinar club", which Kim began in 2021. A pre-recorded HBA webinar is selected, shared with her colleagues, and a meeting to share learnings is facilitated by a Daiichi Sankyo leader. She embodies the HBA spirit of radical hospitality and is great at building and maintaining connections."  Kathleen Rietzl, Senior Manager, Corporate Partner Engagement, HBA

  • Thalia Mingo, Global Lead, Bristol Myers Squibb Network of Women

"Thalia is strategic and passionate about the advancement of women in pharma, and she creates impact. She has led the HBA/BMS partnership for the past two and half years, and the partnership has thrived under her leadership. Under Thalia’s leadership, BMS became a Purple Plus Corporate Partner, Chris Boerner became our 2022 Honorable Mentor, WOTY has a lasting BMS footprint, and most recently Thalia believed in the vision of the Women of Color Wellness Summit, so much so that BMS sponsored the event at the 2022 HBA Annual Conference. Not only did BMS sponsor the Women of Color Wellness Summit but under Thalia’s leadership, BMS made an impact on the HBCU Leadership panel at the 2022 HBA Annual Conference with the participation of Wendy Short Bartie. Thalia knows the importance of the HBA partnership and she appointed two dynamic HBA champions Bahar Demirdirek and Kate Bogumil to align the partnership and pull through programming and engagement. But what I appreciate most about Thalia is how she challenges the HBA to become a better partner and how she has made me a better leader of my team and Corporate Partner Manager." – Serene Bridgett Hollingsworth, Director, Corporate Accounts, HBA

  • Nipa Mody, Senior Manager, R&D Field Triage, QuidelOrtho

“I have had the privilege of partnering with Nipa over the past year and she has been a great example of leadership and commitment to personal and organizational growth. Nipa is an innovative thinker and leader who is truly dedicated to seeing equality in the pharma industry. Thank you, Nipa, for your dedication and for everything you have done to keep the HBA partnership strong, we value your partnership.” – Lanesha Whitefield, Corporate Partner Engagement Account Manager, HBA

  • Ritsuko Someya, Senior Manager, People Operations, Morphic Therapeutic

Ritsuko is a huge champion for the HBA within Morphic Therapeutic and encourages others to become champions as well. She empowers her team to leverage the opportunities available to them. She does not do this because she has a quota to reach, rather she does it because she genuinely cares about the development and advancement of women and diverse individuals in the healthcare industry and beyond. She cares about the development, advancement, and the feeling of belonging and inclusion for members of her team. She realizes how greatly Morphic’s engagement (combined with that HBA Corporate Partners and Affiliates) impacts our mission of reaching gender equity and overall diversity in all industries. I absolutely love that she sees the extreme importance of her role with the HBA and empowers her team to see the importance of our mission.” – Gabrielle Todd, Corporate Partner Engagement Associate Manager, HBA
