Summer 2018  |  11 Currently the HBA has six active affinity groups for HBA members: Entrepreneurs supports women with an entre- preneurial spirit to develop the capabilities and confidence to become courageous entrepreneurs. Fit to Lead provides a supportive environment to grow leadership skills through fitness activities and programs. iLead prepares, enlightens, inspires and empowers women leaders that are working with data and technology to have an impact. Tomorrow’s Executives provides a supportive environment that encourages the professional devel- opment of young professionals through socialization, education, networking training and mentoring. Women in Science provides women in scientific roles with professional support for their career advancement through interactive, empowering and educational professional development programs and resources to support their career success. Women in Transition assists HBA members during career transitions by providing resources and a forum that facilitates relationship building, industry education, networking and advocacy. Taking it to the next level, iLead recently partnered with an advisory group of IT CIOs and senior executives to create a roadmap of offerings that will be rolled out by 2020, ensuring the most relevant leading-edge programming yet. From our exciting annual CIO panel, a new mentoring add-on, networking events, professional development programs, technology trends and future insights, and career journeys, we are committed to making our group members stronger and more successful in their careers—and all the while enabling valuable new network- ing connections and friends as well.
