HBA Northern New Jersey Post-Event Recap: 19 July Happy Hour

On 19 July, HBA Northern New Jersey held its first in-person happy hour since the pandemic began. The event took place at Barka in Mountain Lakes, NJ, and 25 members and non-members enjoyed an evening of mingling and learning more about what the HBA has to offer.

HBA Northern New Jersey President Alison Handler spoke to the group about what the HBA has meant to her personally and professionally.

Lisa DeMatteis-Caporuscio, HBA Northern New Jersey Director at Large, Marketing and Communications, shared information on how to learn about events and engage with the HBA on social media (particularly HBA New York Tri-State region’s LinkedIn presence).

Kelly Coley, HBA Northern New Jersey Director at Large, Membership and Volunteer Engagement, told the group about upcoming events, including the virtual Dare to Care: Essentialism and Self-Care event on Thursday, 28 July at 5:30 PM ET, which is free for members.

A special thank you to Laurie Hekmat, HBA Northern New Jersey Member Engagement Committee Lead, and Kelly Coley for leading the event planning.

It was so great to see everyone in person, and we can’t wait to do it again soon. More to come.
