HBA Houston Proudly Recognizes Sirisha Burra as an Honored Volunteer

HBA Houston Honored Volunteer award was presented in July to Sirisha Burra. Sirisha was nominated for her commitment and many contributions as a volunteer for HBA Houston. She has demonstrated an amazing attitude, enthusiasm and initiative to help the HBA Houston grow. Most recently, Sirisha served on the HBA Houston Volunteer Engagement Event executive committee to help inform the membership of the multiple available volunteer opportunities. Aside from being an active member and steadfast volunteer, quickly after joining the HBA, Sirisha started and now leads HBA Houston’s Woman in Science affinity group. With her leadership, Sirisha will help provide women in scientific roles with professional support for their career advancement, through educational professional development programs.

Sirisha is passionate about healthcare research and management, scientific writing and serving others. For the past twelve years, she has been immersed in various areas of the laboratory management and helped fellow researchers write successful grant applications. The main motto of her life is to help others achieve their fullest potential.

Thank you, Sirisha, for your leadership and dedication to inspire and further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. HBA Houston would not be possible without the contributions of volunteers like Sirisha. She is an extraordinary volunteer that has played a significant role in building the HBA presence in Houston. We are lucky to have Sirisha as part of our HBA Houston Leadership Board. Email Sirisha.
