Chelsea only joined HBA about four months ago, but has already created a huge impact in our chapter as programming director-at-large.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-medicine at Butler University, Chelsea graduated with a JD from Indiana University and a certification in health law. Her career path took her from a non-profit, public/private partnership in the emergency management sector of healthcare to Parkview Health, a network of community hospitals and clinics in Indiana and Ohio, where she became the first director of neurosciences service line. Chelsea moved back to central Indiana this past spring and now owns a healthcare consulting and management company.
Chelsea on why she joined HBA: “I wanted to meet strong, like-minded female healthcare leaders in the community. Empowering and developing female leaders in the healthcare industry is a passion of mine and I couldn't think of a better way to collaborate in helping female leaders to achieve further successes.” In her current role with HBA, she loves taking an active role in contributing to the goals and mission of HBA Indianapolis. “We have a lot of new ideas in the pipeline for 2019 and I'm looking forward to expanding our educational and networking opportunities across the region. I also want to connect with more women across the healthcare business sectors. Indiana needs more innovative, female healthcare leaders and I'm excited to see how the HBA can facilitate the conversation in achieving gender parity going forward.”
HBA Indianapolis says a big thank you to Chelsea for the outstanding work she has done on programming during such a short tenure. We’re looking forward to seeing the amazing things she’ll do in 2019.
