Dear HBA Houston,
On Tuesday, 14 August, HBA Houston hosted an invaluable program at Quest Diagnostics entitled “Connecting to Your Why and How it Influences You as a Leader” with Tina Breslin, general manager, Primeast North America. Primeast is an international consulting company known for changing behavior that impacts business results. Tina’s experience in delivering solutions for purposeful leadership and effective team performance to global companies is inspired by the PrimeFocus™ model. This starts with "purpose" and the event that Tina led was on our own purpose—the Golden Circle from Simon Sinek that shows "my why".
Tina led the event with going over our life’s journey and discovering our why, our life message. Attendees had the opportunity to network and break into smaller groups to share their journey and how it has influenced them as a leader. The evening was highly interactive with great conversation and learning.
Thank you, Tina, for such an impactful event!.The discussion was incredibly inspiring and had a profound impact on everyone’s personal and professional development. The overall experience of the evening exceeded everyone’s high expectations. This event was organized by Kristie Drew, director of satellite operations, southwest region for the Houston Clinical Laboratory at Quest Diagnostics. Kristie was recognized that evening as the HBA Houston Honored Volunteer of the month. Additionally, we would like to thank Quest Diagnostics volunteers Kim Burnett and Kathy Doan for all of your help preparing for and hosting such a fantastic event.
HBA Houston would also like to recognize volunteers Tricia Dodds and Debbie Leder. Thank you, Tricia and Debbie, for volunteering to take leadership roles that evening to ensure the event ran smoothly. We greatly appreciated the radical hospitality you both exhibited welcoming all attendees and your help preparing materials for the event. A special thanks also to Ashley Scott, HBA Houston programming director, for organizing last minute logistics.
