Outstanding Volunteers Recognized by the First Honored Volunteer and Spark Awards

Earlier this year, HBA Europe launched a new volunteer recognition program, which recognizes the diverse contributions of its volunteers with six different awards given on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Learn more about HBA Europe’s volunteer recognition programme and its individual awards here. The awards provide HBA Europe with regular opportunities to acknowledge the vital work of its volunteers and to thank them for their contribution to the growth of the European region and its chapters. First amongst those to be recognised are the Q1 recipients of the Honored Volunteer and Spark awards.

The Honored Volunteer award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service and excellency in volunteering. Typically awarded monthly or quarterly, it highlights enthusiastic and energetic volunteers who demonstrate a strong commitment to HBA and make outstanding volunteer contributions.

In recognition of their excellent service, the following individuals are recipients of the Honored Volunteer award for Q1:

  • Anna Zikranova, nominated by Diana Lagalante, HBA Europe regional engagement president
  • Chris Hardesty, nominated by Anna Zikranova, HBA Europe regional engagement director
  • Malika Makhlouf, nominated by Stefania Migliuolo, HBA Europe tregional marketing president

The Spark award honors any chapter volunteer who has stood out from the crowd through their “little bursts of awesomeness”. Awarded quarterly, the peer-nominated award recognizes the outstanding contributions of volunteers in any or all of the following areas: attitude, consistency and dependability, leadership, building community by supporting others or by taking on a new challenge that benefits the HBA.
