A message from the HBA Columbus board

HBA Columbus – transforming to bring new opportunities to our healthcare business community

Last year was a year of transformation as the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association migrated to a regional operating model with geographically local chapters. The new HBA Midwest region includes Cincinnati and Columbus – previously part of HBA Ohio – in addition to Indianapolis, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Northern Chicago. This model provides opportunities to unite and build deeper and more meaningful connections, strengthening our efforts to drive change in our own community.

This model also allows us to tailor our quarterly events to meet the needs of our organization and our members, like our kickoff event at FUSE by Cardinal Health in January which focused on innovation. These events provide a platform for us to discuss the pursuit of gender parity and other critical conversations. Our Thursday, 26 April event at Abbott Nutrition will focus on customer engagement.

Additionally, HBA Columbus creates opportunities for partnerships with Columbus Business First, BioOhio and the ACHE of Greater Ohio on events and programs that expand our presence of the HBA in our community with the ultimate goal of building greater business connections through increased membership and expanding development opportunities.

One of the best ways to make the most out of your HBA membership is to simply get involved. Our chapter and region are seeking members who want to grow leadership skills, develop their network and gain new experiences through volunteering. Getting involved can be as simple as connecting with other HBA members via social media or building your network through attending events. We are currently exploring how our mentoring program will operate under the new region and chapter model, and hope to have updates soon.

Through HBA Columbus, we hope you find ways to engage and enrich your career. Our director for membership and volunteer engagement can help you find your place in HBA and match you with opportunities based on your development goals.

Here are some initial details on our upcoming events. Registration will open soon.
