Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association St. Louis is excited to announce the latest career news for Vice President Nancy Kadlec. Nancy was recently named vice president, chief nurse oficer at the BJC Medical Group, located in the metropolitan St. Louis area.
In her new vice president role, Nancy will be responsible to lead all aspects of nursing work at the Medical Group, including oversight of patient engagement and experience initiatives, integration of seamless transitions of care and assisting with development of virtual care visits. She will also continue her accountable care organization (ACO) responsibilities where she led the ACO teams responsible for establishing clinical programs and IT/database development. Under Nancy’s leadership, the ACO decreased costs, improved quality and increased patient satisfaction.
Nancy is well-suited for this important leadership role given her long experience in this area. She has been with the BJC organization for 24 years and has made immeasurable contributions in her career. Nancy began her BJC career at Christian Hospital where she was hired as a staff nurse in 1993 and moved into various leadership roles ranging from manager to director of patient care services. In 2009, Nancy moved to shared services as director of clinical improvement for the Clinical Workflow Improvement (CWI) department where she was responsible for oversight of more than 20 process improvement teams. In 2014, the Community Hospital Clinical Information Services (CIS) department was added to her responsibilities. In addition to her shared services roles, Nancy became director of operations for the BJC Medical Group ACO in 2015.
