Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Southern California is pleased to announce Elle Hamilton of Syneos Health (formerly INC Research/inVentiv Health) as the recipient of the 2017 Leadership, Excellence and Dedication (LEAD) award, the highest honor an HBA volunteer can be given within their chapter. The LEAD award recognizes one recipient who has demonstrated excellence via sustained contributions at a regional level, positively impacted the region and its ongoing success, and demonstrated dedication to the HBA mission of furthering the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare.
“Elle has been a strong force of positive impact to the Southern California chapter,” said Janet Twitchell (IQVIA), HBA Pacific region president of volunteer engagement. “Her passion for developing women in leadership, harnessing corporate sponsors and advocating for gender parity has inspired others to say ‘why not?’ instead of ‘do you think we can?’ She brings enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to every project.”
In 2017, Elle volunteered in several capacities. She served on the board of HBA Southern California as a director at large of corporate relations and was responsible for both engaging existing Corporate Partners and developing new partners and sponsors in the region. She was on a key committee to develop the first Southwest region tri-city event, a recap of key insights from the International BIO Convention, which took place in San Diego last year. At the HBA annual conference, Elle served as a Connector, helping new members from Southern California to navigate and connect with HBA members from around the country.
“Elle is high-caliber talent. We are very fortunate to have her on our HBA leadership team in Southern California,” added Disha Patel (Amgen Inc.), 2018 president of HBA Los Angeles. “Elle not only led corporate relations, but used her deep industry connections and communications background to help with program development and marketing for our chapter events as well as mentoring and member outreach. She is an example of how an individual’s engagement with HBA benefits our industry and other members. We look forward to her continued contributions, focused on Orange County in 2018”
