Exciting news for HBA St. Louis board member Lauren Beckmann

HBA St. Louis is excited to announce the promotion for chapter board member Lauren Beckmann. Lauren has been named vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West Hospital.

In this role, Lauren will be responsible for leading the hospitals' clinical operations, supervising nurses and nurse managers, and facilitating the design and implementation of the delivery of patient care at the two St. Charles County hospitals.
In addition to her role as director of patient care services, Lauren has also been serving in the role of interim chief nursing officer since June. “We are pleased to have Lauren officially step into the role of vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer,” says hospital president Chris Watts. “She is an integral member of our leadership team, and has done a great job of serving in dual roles as both director of patient care services and Interim chief nursing officer for the past six months.”

Lauren has more than 25 years of experience in various healthcare roles, including serving as chief nursing officer and assistant administrator for Parkland Health Center in Farmington, MO, prior to coming to St. Charles County.
“It’s an honor to be part of this team of compassionate caregivers at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West,” says Lauren. “I look forward to working with my team as we enhance the exceptional care we provide to patients, family members and our community.”

Lauren is a registered nurse and holds a master’s degree in management from Webster University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Michigan State University. She also is currently serving as board member for Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) St. Louis chapter.

Congratulations Lauren on this amazing promotion. Your expertise and achievements will continue to be an asset for Barnes-Jewish.
