HBA Tampa, in partnership with Bristol-Myers Squibb’s North American Capability Center, hosted a simulcast of annual HBA Woman of the Year (WOTY) event on 11 May 2017. The winner of WOTY was Bahija Jallal PhD, executive vice president, AstraZeneca, and head of MedImmune. Awards for Honorable Mentor, STAR (Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition) and a group of some 100 Rising Stars and Luminaries, noted for their accomplishments and contributions to the healthcare industry, were presented.
This year, Simona King, BMS’ head of business and corporate analysis, and Allyson McMillan, BMS’ executive director of marketing, were noted for their accomplishments by receiving the HBA Luminary award and the Rising Star award.
During the simulcast event, HBA Tampa featured an in-person workshop called “Leading without Authority”, presented by professional coach Carole R. Gill at Bristol-Myers Squibb’s North American Capability Center. Carole led the audience through a dynamic session on the topic of harnessing their influence and “best practices” in leadership.
