Dear HBA Dallas-Fort Worth,
It was my pleasure to have the opportunity to visit with you on Tuesday at our Networking with a Purpose event in Addison. I made several new contacts and enjoyed learning about each of you. It was nice to see so many new faces. Our HBA Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate is expanding and more women in healthcare are making contacts across the industry in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Our next event is on October 18; HBA and Alcon are hosting an event, “Navigating the Line Between Assertiveness and Aggressiveness.”
While planning the June HBA/Alcon lunch and learn event, I learned more about Tenise Hordge. Tenise is our lead Alcon colleague for the October event.
Tenise works at Alcon as head, manufacturing and tech ops strategic projects, and is the Alcon Ambassador for HBA DFW. I’ve asked Tenise a few questions so you can get to know her better.
How did you learn about the HBA and why did you join? I learned about HBA when I was living and working in Basel, Switzerland in 2015. I attended a few events in Europe and planned to join the HBA once I returned to the states. I was disheartened when I learned there was not a DFW chapter and, now, I am excited to be a part of the DFW affiliate.
What is one thing that people are surprised to learn about you? I completed a triathlon in 2012.
Where is your favorite vacation spot and why? The beach – I like a nice, clean, white sand beach that is not crowded.
I invite you to answer the same questions I asked Tenise. We’d like to highlight you in upcoming newsletters.
And let us know how you'd like to get involved – we have volunteer spot waiting for you to fill.
