HBA Metro proudly recognizes honored volunteer: Kristy Aro

Kristy Aro has been in the healthcare industry for 20 years - with a majority of her focus being on the education of both patients and healthcare professionals in spaces such as oncology and rare diseases. Her expertise lies within building customer relations. In her current role as business development senior executive at Arbor Scientia, she has been instrumental in the company’s growth into new disease states. Kristy brought the company business in both oncology and immunology, and makes a conscious effort to maintain those relationships well after the projects are completed.

Prior to her current job, Kristy worked as an account executive at Artcraft Health Education where, in addition to her daily roles and responsibilities, she was tasked with launching and managing the company’s digital division.
Kristy has been an active member and volunteer of the HBA since 2013 and has made huge contributions since she joined our organization. Kristy’s role in the HBA has continued to evolve as she is currently a board member for the New York City programs for HBA Metro, is a liaison with our corporate relations team and also works on events organized by the Fit to Lead program. In 2014, Kristy had an integral part in coordinating HBA Metro’s 10th anniversary gala and was responsible for connecting with 10 years of HBA leadership. Previously, she has been nominated for our annual chapter LEAD (Leadership Excellence and Dedication) award and HBA Metro is thrilled to honor her properly as this month’s honored volunteer. She is an astounding team player and has stepped in on multiple occasions to partner with other internal functional areas and Corporate Partner organizations. We are so thankful to Kristy for all she has done for the HBA. Congratulations, Kristy.
