Registration now open for October 15 networking, visibility and best practice-sharing industry event

The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Metro chapter today announced the upcoming Women's Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase (WHILS), hosted in partnership with Sanofi, Quintiles and HealthyWomen.org. The Showcase is expected to bring together over 300 healthcare professionals and experts from across the healthcare industry to share innovative programs and discuss challenges and solutions in women’s healthcare. The event will take place from 6-9:30 PM ET on October 15 on the Sanofi campus in Bridgewater, NJ.  Registration is now available on the HBA website.

The core of the WHILS will be a curated selection of exhibits profiling groundbreaking data and initiatives that are advancing women’s healthcare through basic research, optimizing medical practices, improving health literacy and behaviors, and/or expanding access. Exhibits will be drawn from across the healthcare spectrum, with representatives ranging from advocacy and clinical practice to pharma industry and payors. The evening will also include a seated program; the highlight of which will be an expert panel of industry leaders discussing women’s healthcare innovation:

Panel moderator:
Eve Dryer, 2013 HBA STAR, and president, Eve Dryer Healthcare Consulting

“The HBA Metro chapter strives to offer meaningful programming to support professionals working in the healthcare industry,” said HBA Metro chapter president, Kathleen Fitzpatrick, of Johnson & Johnson. “We are especially proud of this first-ever Women’s Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase, which provides a new way for our members and supporters to interact and impact a critical area of concern for our society at large.”

The WHILS would not have been possible without the early advocacy and support of event founding partners, Sanofi and Quintiles, and without the participation and strategic advice of in-kind partner HealthyWomen.org.

"Sanofi supports women’s health disease awareness and innovative research, as well as access to treatments for critical women's health issues," said Anne Whitaker, president, NA Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi. "We are proud to be an event founding partner for the HBA Metro chapter Women's Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase. We are looking forward to hosting and participating in this important program. Given the caliber of participants, this program will have a meaningful impact on generating insights and spurring collaboration in the area of women’s health."

“Quintiles is committed to both a corporate culture that inspires women to take advantage of leadership opportunities and a healthcare environment that champions women’s health,” said Daryl Gaugler, senior vice president of North America Commercial Solutions. “Our vision to bring people and knowledge together for a healthier world unites us in our daily work to accelerate therapies to women and all patients in need through clinical trials, optimal commercialization strategies and real-world outcome studies. We are proud to participate in HBA’s Metro chapter Women's Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase and to contribute to the discussion about the challenges and opportunities for advancing women's health."

WHILS also proudly announces the following sponsors: platinum sponsor Merck; gold sponsor Daiichi Sankyo; silver sponsors:  Cegedim, PSKW and Tonix; in-kind sponsors: Makovsky and Marina Maher Communications; and media partner ClaudiaChan.com.  Sponsorships and advertising opportunities are available and can be purchased on the WHILS webpage.
