Congratulations and thank you to our 2Q CAP (Contribution and Participation) award winners!
Each quarter, the HBA Boston chapter recognizes a select few of its outstanding volunteers by presenting them with the CAP (Contribution and Participation) award in appreciation of their commitment and achievements. The winners this quarter were notable not only for their outstanding accomplishments, but also because they were nominated in teams showing our collaborative and innovative spirit. Their selection as CAP award winners is a validation of the difference individuals can make in the organization when they work together.
- Bonnie Fendrock, director of corporate relations, and Bonnie Lappin, director of membership. Bonnie F. and Bonnie L. (the “Bonnie squared team”) joined forces to develop alternative ways to cultivate new corporate partnerships. While the new partnership on its own is something to celebrate, it is particularly notable for the way in which the partnership was built: team HBA leveraged all the resources available then partnered to build an engagement relationship that would grow over the long term. This approach demonstrates professionalism, deep understanding of the organization’s mission, and ability to work across all levels to achieve success, and is now helping to set the direction for how partnerships are established across the HBA chapters.
- Naina Bhasin, Aileen Rubio, and Maria Shepherd, co-chairs of the corporate relations committee. These three women stepped up in the last quarter to reach out to new and existing partners to invite them to join HBA. Their outreach has been creative and well researched, bringing a strategic and holistic perspective to conversations with our Boston area companies. Their efforts have resulted in new relationships and thoughtful engagement with existing partners. Maria, Aileen and Naina have added time to their busy professional and personal lives to meet with key individuals from partner companies, resulting in new commitments to support events, new pilot initiatives, and a new Corporate Partner for HBA.
We applaud these women and appreciate the impact they have made. Their commitment and professionalism has helped to make HBA the outstanding volunteer organization it is today.
