Andrea Schrager, founder and CEO of Meadowlands Consumer Center Inc., a global marketing research and consulting company headquartered in Secaucus, NJ with offices in New York City, has been named one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business. The NJBIZ award honors New Jersey’s most dynamic women in business who have been making headlines in their field.
“I am very much honored to be recognized with this prestigious award,” Ms. Schrager stated. “There are so many successful businesswomen in New Jersey who I know and with whom we do business that to be spotlighted in this way is astonishing.”
Ms. Schrager started her company over 25 years ago, working from the Harmon Cove Clubhouse until her office construction was completed. Her first employee was the only person to respond to her ad but the company has grown over the years to number almost fifty. “I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and believed that I would be successful,” she said. “But I couldn’t have done it without my team. So this award is not just mine, it’s an award for everyone at Consumer Centers of New York and New Jersey.”
In addition to leading her company, Ms. Schrager serves on the board of directors of the Meadowlands Regional Chamber and chairs its international business council. She also serves on the leadership council for Seton Hall University and the leadership governing group for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the preeminent certifying organization of women-owned businesses. “My company has been certified for over twelve years and I can’t say enough about the benefits of certification. If you are best in class and offer a real point of difference, certification can help you get recognized,” Ms. Schrager commented. “But ultimately, it’s up to you and your team to deliver.”
“We are truly fortunate to have the opportunity to recognize Andrea Schrager,” said Thomas Curtin, publisher of NJBIZ. “As a business and community leader, she is constantly redefining success within and outside the business arena. On behalf of NJBIZ, we would like to thank and congratulate her and the other forty nine outstanding women for their dedication to New Jersey’s future.”
