Linda DaSilva, director of business development at Priority Solutions International, and director of conference platforms on the HBA board was honored with the President’s Award at the HBA Leadership Institute held in Orlando, FL on November 6, 2012. The President’s Award is given to an HBA leader who exemplified effective leadership and dedication to the mission of the HBA and had a measurable impact on the HBA global organization, chapter operations, members and/or corporate partners. Because of her outstanding efforts leading the teams for HBA’s flagship events, Woman of the Year and the HBA Leadership Conference, as well as her years of dedicated service to the association, Linda was given this award.
“Linda has engaged experienced HBA volunteer leaders to undertake key leadership roles on these initiatives; she personally tackles new opportunities and unresolved issues in a timely way – determined to solve!” said HBA president-elect Terri Pascarelli. “Linda worked through the year with a steering committee including the HBA CEO, executive committee members and key staff to make sure these two events and their leadership committees have the guidance and answers they need to move forward on time and on budget.”
The financial implications of successfully running these two flagship events are critical to the sustainable financial health of the HBA, and Linda led both teams to deliver highly successful, well received events. She also created a strong knowledge transfer structure so that future teams learn from the experience of this year’s teams.
The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association board and staff congratulate Linda. Her dedication, leadership and innovation lead the HBA to fulfill our mission to further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide.
