We are proud to announce the HBA Chicago chapter’s new quarterly enewsletter, one of the many exciting things we have for you this year. As the 2012 HBA Chicago chapter president, I am thrilled to be addressing you in this new forum. The mission of the HBA is to further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide. Here in the Chicago-land area, we have been working hard to make this powerful and inspiring statement come to life for our 350, and rapidly growing, members.
We know that navigating in a changing healthcare industry can be a challenge.
The HBA Chicago chapter is committed to our member’s success by providing our members with opportunities for learning, networking and mentoring, in an inspiring, collaborative, fun and supportive community. That is why we chose our programming theme this year to be “Invigorate, Innovate and Transform”.
The goal for 2012, is simple – to continue to grow our chapter by providing the highest quality experience to our members. We are off to an impressive start. We have held four events to date featuring leaders in the industry focusing on topics like “Reinventing Yourself”, “Transforming Healthcare” and “Leading Change”. We also kicked off our 2012 Mentoring Program with a record number of participants. May’s program is a great opportunity to expand your network and your ability to leverage that network in a fun and valuable way. Click here to see all our future events.
Of course, not one of our events and accomplishments would be possible without the commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteer community. To all of our volunteers, past and present, a great big “Thank you!”
An HBA membership can be the most valuable resource for the success and fulfillment of your career. It can develop your leadership skills, keep you on edge of where healthcare is going and build your network of influential and supportive women. I encourage everyone to leverage your membership to make it all you want it to be.
