HBA is the premier catalyst for the leadership development of women in healthcare worldwide. The HBA Metro Chapter is the founding and largest chapter of the HBA with over 1,700 members in the heart of the east coast’s life sciences corridor. HBA supports women in healthcare by advancing their personal and professional goals through skill-based programs, networking, coverage of gender-based advancement issues, and practical “how to” programs. It also proudly promotes corporate and social responsibility through philanthropic efforts and events such as the Second Annual HBA Metro Chapter Charity Golf Tournament.

“Cardiovascular disease claims the lives of approximately 500,000 women in the US every year,” said Stephanie Bova, president of the HBA Metro Chapter. “The HBA Metro Chapter is pleased to support the efforts of the American Heart Association’s Go Redfor Women movement to encourage awareness of the issue of women and heart disease with the goal to save more lives.”
