2010 was an exciting year including six core events, the implementation of the incredibly successfully mentor program, our first Women In Science (WIS) event, the Executive Women’s breakfast, and two exclusive member only programs.
On behalf of the HBA San Francisco Chapter, I want to thank all of our members, chapter sponsors and program attendees for another fabulous year. 2010 was an exciting year including six core events, the implementation of the incredibly successfully mentor program, our first Women In Science (WIS) event, the Executive Women’s breakfast, and two exclusive member only programs. We increased our membership by 14.1% and closed out the year 302 members strong!
We could not have had such a successful year without the support of our wonderful volunteers. A huge thank you goes out to the following ladies for their dedication, spirit, and enthusiasm to the HBA San Francisco Chapter.
Carrie Arndt, Julie Bradshaw, Ann Cheney, Stacie Coates, Deborah Coburn, Maureen George, Carol Gonzales, Rekha Hemrajani, Kathy Jonzzon, Alicia Padilla, Kelly Pierson, Michelle Runge, Jacqui Sawers, Valeska Scharen-Guivel, Shannon Smith, Carolyn White
We welcome new faces to join our volunteer team in 2011. Volunteering provides our members the opportunity to lead, grow, network, and make new friends. You are welcome to reach out to any of our board members for more information on volunteering, and I’m always delighted to hear from you via LinkedIn.
We are also grateful for our chapter sponsors and thank them for their continued support: Abbott, Bay City Capital, Bayer, Elan, Genentech, Novartis, and our newest sponsor Exelixis. Our 2011 calendar of events promises to be just as dynamic--filled with networking, leadership and career development opportunities. Save the date for our kick-off event on January 20th “Diary of a Leader.” Contact email@example.com for more information.
Best wishes to all for a wonderful holiday season!
2010 HBA San Francisco Chapter President
