In September 2010 the HBA Chicago Chapter recognized Jean Conaway as volunteer of the month. Jean is an associate director in the dyslipidemia global pharmaceutical regulatory group at Abbott. Jean joined the HBA three years ago when she decided to get involved with an organization. She researched and selected HBA since Abbott is a corporate partner. After attending a few events, she decided she wanted to get more involved and volunteered for the mentoring program. Jean said she gets a lot from the mentoring program and really enjoys working with people from other healthcare companies. “It is my way of giving back,” she says.

According to Stephanie McCray, “Jean has been my right hand. She played a major role in keeping the mentoring committee moving forward while many of our members were unavailable and/or transitioning off the committee. She led the mentor-mentee matching process and also created all the processes for getting the “Mentoring For All” program off the ground. ”

The HBA Chicago applauds Jean for her enthusiasm and effort!

Therese McCall and Jean ConawayLeft, Therese McCall, HBA Chicago, board president, thanks Jean for her efforts at the September event.
