Sixty-nine HBA Chicago members and guests gathered on October 21 for networking and fashion guidance. Kathy Brosmith, fashion consultant for Personal Vogue, demonstrated numerous ways to accentuate the positive… a special thanks to those attendees who courageously offered to take a walk down the fashion runway. It truly is amazing what difference a scarf and/or a belt can make. Pre- and post- the formal presentation, attendees enjoyed a chance to shop at three vendor stations, as well as to benefit from personal posture pictures taken by Dr. Jordan Leasure.

Traditionally, the Chicago chapter elects to sponsor a charity during the month of October. This year’s designee was Poised for Success, a non-profit Chicago-based charity organization that provides gently used, ready-to-wear business attire and accessories to women entering the workforce. Members responded generously to a request to help those challenged by life circumstances by contributing two car-loads full of gently worn business attire. The gift basket raffle raised $700 for the charity with the prize awarded to Ruth Martin (Abbott Labs).
