Denice Torres is a keynote speaker and consultant that works with leaders to build engaged and ignited teams. She is recognized as a highly successful and inspiring leader with expertise in business turnarounds, cultural transformations and the ability to create a values-based, diverse and personally rewarding environment for all employees.

A former senior executive at Johnson & Johnson, Denice led one of the most significant turnarounds in the company’s history. After a series of recalls and manufacturing issues, Denice assumed the role of president of McNeil Consumer Healthcare and led the remediation of quality, manufacturing, customer, brand and cultural issues resulting in the successful return of many iconic products, including Tylenol, back to store shelves. In the face of unprecedented demands on employees, engagement levels rose to all-time highs during her five-year tenure. In addition to president positions, cenice served as chief strategy and business transformation officer for J&J Medical Devices, a $25B business with over 50,000 employees.

Whether in pharmaceutical, medical device or consumer industries, Denice is passionate about leading with love, integrity, and optimism. In addition to 13 years at Johnson & Johnson, Denice held senior leadership roles at Eli Lilly over a 15-year period. She has an MBA from the University of Michigan, JD from Indiana University, BS from Ball State and a certificate in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2016, Denice was the sole recipient of the prestigious J&J HONOR award for her work in diversity and inclusion. In 2015, she was named Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Woman of the Year. She was also named by J&J and Working Mother as Working Mother of the Year. She has been featured in Pharmaceutical Executive, LatinoLeaders, Latina Style, Hispanic Executive and WomenWorking. As a keynote and motivational speaker, Denice has given hundreds of talks to both large and smaller audiences for organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Costco, Walmart, General Mills, Vanguard, Hershey and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Denice is a story teller and uses her career and life experiences - mixed with a big dose of humor - to connect with an audience. Topics include leading business and culture transformations, diversity as a critical driver of success, personal resilience, and thriving in uncertainty.

Denice lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania with her spouse, Kim, and their 17-year-old daughter, Sierra. She serves on the board of the Midland Corporation, a nonprofit organization focused on meeting the educational and developmental needs of individuals with disabilities. Denice is preparing to publish her first book in early 2018, “Flip the Tortilla and Other Lessons in Resilience, Optimism, and Mojo.”
