Diary of a leader: An evening with Candice Saunders

The HBA Atlanta chapter had the privilege of hosting a discussion on leadership with Candice Saunders, executive vice president of Wellstar and president of Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, on October 18, 2012 at the City Club of Buckhead. Candice shared her journey from her days as a hospital nurse to manager to her current executive title. During her engaging talk, Candice discussed the qualities embodied in each of her professional roles along with the challenges she faced as a female leader in her journey. She ended the evening by sharing the key elements to success, that not only helped her, but she believes leaders should personify.

Cardinal Health's Women's Initiative Network (WIN) wins the 2012 HBA ACE award

The HBA Ohio chapter is proud to announce that Cardinal Health's Women's Initiative Network (WIN) has won the 2012 HBA ACE award for corporate programs advancing women's careers. Cardinal Health CEO, Mike Kaufmann, was presented this prestigious award at the national HBA Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida on November 8, 2012.

The HBA Ohio chapter is proud to announce that Cardinal Health's Women's Initiative Network (WIN) has won the 2012 HBA ACE award for corporate programs advancing women's careers. Presenting HB8 Supper Clubs

A new addition to the regular line up of HBA San Francisco chapter’s programming is the HB8 Supper Club. While similar in name to the dine around events, HB8 differs in that there is no speaker or presentation - just informal social interactions between you and seven other HBA members. Each of these dinners brings together a table of up to eight HBA members and will be hosted by a board member or a member from the programs committee.

Courtney Buzzell announced as the HBA Boston chapter 2012 LEAD award winner

With great pleasure, the HBA Boston chapter announces that Courtney Buzzell is the winner of the chapter’s LEAD (Leadership Excellence And Dedication) award for 2012. The LEAD award is a very special award given just once a year to a single volunteer in a chapter who has demonstrated “above and beyond” contribution to the chapter. Although in Boston, we are in a wonderful position to have had several people nominated, Courtney was chosen for just a few of the following reasons, according to Susan McPherson, director of volunteers.
