HBA Chicago chapter January 2013 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to January 2013 Volunteer of the Month, Erin Asprooth. Erin serves as social media chair person on the marketing team and was nominated by Pamela Landau. Pamela says Erin “has done a great job of becoming adept at using our social media platforms, and has increased membership in our chapter’s Linkedin group by 15% since August.”

HBA Metro chapter presented Communicating for Change to a sold-out audience

The HBA Metro chapter’s flagship event, “Communicating for Change,” was recently held at Quintiles in Parsippany, NJ.

The HBA Metro chapter’s flagship event, “Communicating for Change,” was recently held at Quintiles in Parsippany, NJ.

Dr. Beth Banks Cohn, founder and president of ADRA Change Architects, led an engaging discussion on strategic communication skills required to effectively lead and manage change. Stating that “using communication during a change can determine success,” Dr. Banks Cohn utilized several business case studies to demonstrate how messages are communicated can impact both individuals and organizations.
