With great pleasure, the HBA Boston chapter announces that Courtney Buzzell is the winner of the chapter’s LEAD (Leadership Excellence And Dedication) award for 2012. The LEAD award is a very special award given just once a year to a single volunteer in a chapter who has demonstrated “above and beyond” contribution to the chapter. Message from the HBA Mid Atlantic chapter president

In our personal lives, September is a time for getting the kids back to school. In fact, I just dropped my step daughter off to begin her freshman year at college. It is so exciting watching her take this first leap toward a professional career. In our work-life, we begin focusing on the year ahead, finalizing business plans and locking down budgets. This makes September a great time to reflect on our own individual career agendas. How have I done attending those classes or reading the books I put in my development plan back in January? Am I on track to accomplish my goals?
