Emily was recently selected as one of the Houston Business Journal’s 2020 Women Who Mean Business, which recognizes Houston's most successful women business leaders in for-profit and nonprofit industries. The honorees will be recognized in a live virtual broadcast of the awards ceremony on 15 October from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM CST. In conjunction with the award ceremony, the Houston Business Journal will publish a special section in the 16 October edition of the print publication.

Last week 30 people from the healthcare industry including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, hospital, payers and service companies gathered in Philadelphia to build business connections for a sustainable leadership advantage, learn from thought leaders to broaden perspectives, and to expand their business acumen. KPMG hosted the event led by Bruce Pfau, PhD, on his success in “Improving Employee Moral” within an accounting firm.
The HBA Boston board of directors is pleased to announce our 2016 LEAD award winner, Marie-Caroline Strok. LEAD stands for Leadership, Excellence, and Dedication. This award is the highest chapter honor for an individual and is given to a volunteer selected annually by the chapter’s board of directors.
HBA Chicago is thrilled to announce that Gwynne Birkel is the April volunteer of the month. When asked about her volunteer experience with HBA Chicago, Gwynne tells us: “I learn so much by volunteering for the HBA. There’s a new award that’s lighting up the HBA Boston chapter beginning August 15. In recognition of volunteers who have distinguished themselves through ”little bursts of awesomeness”, the HBA Boston chapter is thrilled to launch a new recognition award called Spark.
