Lori Whitehand

Lori Whitehand joined the HBA in 2016 and holds the position of manager of education. In this role, Lori is responsible for supporting the development of content-related components for the HBA’s flagship events. Lori also contributes to the advancement, improvement and sustainability of chapters’ in-person mentoring programs.

Lori gained experience in developing and delivering educational programs in the nonprofit healthcare arena with associations such as the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Lori also developed extensive experience managing volunteers in her positions with Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia and the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Lori earned a bachelor’s of science in sociology from the University of Arizona and a master’s in public administration (with a healthcare concentration) from The George Washington University.
