Annual conference attendees can register for a complimentary 30-minute coaching session and choose from a variety of expert coaches who will provide support that is uniquely suited to your needs. Your selected coach will connect with you prior to the conference so that your coaching session will be focused and productive. Sign-ups for these coaching sessions will open in August; don’t delay – slots fill up fast!
Examples of Topics to Pursue with Coach
You get to determine what you want to discuss with your coach. Following are some ideas to help you brainstorm topics you want to pursue.
- Positioning yourself for advancement opportunities
- Networking effectively
- Positioning yourself for high-profile projects
- Identifying a sponsor
- Gaining visibility as a thought-leader in your area of expertise
- Preparing for a job search (e.g., resume review, interview preparation)
- Transitioning to a different field within the industry
Call for Coaches
The HBA seeks executive coaches to provide 30-minute coaching sessions for conference attendees who are interested in activating a professional goal by digging into leveraging their strengths, identifying opportunities, and developing an action plan for achieving their goals. These coaching sessions will provide each coach with an opportunity to showcase the benefits of coaching and gain visibility among potential clients.
Conference attendees will be able to view bios of all coaches on the conference website and then select a coach who seems to be the best fit for whatever issue they would like to discuss, based on remaining availability. Coaches will then connect with each attendee prior to conference to set up expectations for their sessions during the conference.
Each coach will have up to eight (8) 30-minute coaching sessions during the conference, starting early afternoon on 6 November through the afternoon of 8 November.
As part of the agreement between HBA and each coach, the HBA will provide the following:
- One complimentary registration for Annual Conference ($1,625 value)
- Recognition on Annual Conference website
- Recognition on walk-in slides during mainstage sessions
- Access to Executive Lounge during Annual Conference
To be considered for this opportunity, coaches must submit an application that provides the following information:
- Name, title, and company
- Coaching credentials
- 150-word bio
- Area(s) of coaching expertise
- High resolution head shot
- At least one reference (name/email)
- Links to websites, videos, testimonials, etc.
Applications are due by 28 April and selections will be made by 16 June 2023.
