2013 Leadership Conference Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunties to get involed with the HBA's flagship event.
Content committee –execute content strategy and support coordination of all speaker communications and logistics (speaker release agreements, bios, contracts, materials, review presentations, etc). Education and training experience preferred.
Social events committee - plan and coordinate additional attendee social events (power walks, yoga sessions, etc.).
Radical hospitality committee – provide outreach to conference “first timers” via an orientation webinar, phone calls and by serving as conference ambassadors.
Chapter receptions committee – interface with our 15 HBA chapters to develop and implement attendee engagement tactics to enhance attendee experience for the opening night reception.
Volunteer committee – coordinate conference committee and onsite volunteer staffing needs.
Marketing committee – plan and execute marketing strategy and activity for social media, print media, local press, and chapter engagement.

Business development: virtual programming
Description: Generate strategic objectives for launching and sustaining a virtual programming process.
Qualifications: Experience with virtual products, strategic thinking.
Time commitment: Two to three hours per week.
Researchers: business development, marketing, survey design and reporting
Description: Several opportunities are available to design and oversee implementation of new initiatives research, and marketing research.
Qualifications: Market research expertise, ability to conduct independent research as well as work with a contracted vendor.
Time commitment: Two hours per week.
Sponsorship coordination committee
Description: Develop strategic and tactical sponsorship coordination plan encompassing requests made to companies (particularly Corporate Partners), chapters and affiliates, and corporate fundraising committees.
Qualifications: Exceptional relationship building and leadership skills with a focus on consensus building. Excellent project management and communication skills – to develop, write and present strategic and tactical plans.
Time commitment: Four hours per week.
