Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) honored for editorial excellence

Medical Marketing Media (MM&M) recently picked up two coveted FOLIO: Eddie Awards for editorial excellence in covering the B-to-B advertising and marketing industries.

MM&M struck gold for the Best Single Article, “Hayes’ Open-Door Policy Opens Doors” (MM&M, May 2012)—an up-close-and-personal profile of Tim Hayes, president of Bayer HealthCare Consumer Care North America, that relayed with warmth and wit Hayes’ considerable efforts to advance the careers of women within his organization.

The healthcare marketing title also picked up silver for Best Full Issue in honor of its gargantuan July 2011 edition, “The Agency Issue”—an encyclopedic journal of the fortunes, capabilities and visions of the top 75 healthcare advertising and marketing agencies. Clocking in at 212 pages, it was, at that time, the largest print issue in MM&M’s 46-year history. The outstanding design included numerous high-impact layouts using familiar icons from pharmaceutical advertising, along with a striking metallic cover.

“I’m absolutely delighted with the wins,” said James Chase, editor in chief of MM&M, and author of the gold-winning article. “There’s a lot of talent and expertise on our team and, as with all Haymarket brands, we focus continuingly on building credibility through the quality of our content, so it’s hugely gratifying to be recognized in this way – especially as we were competing nationally against, not just healthcare-focused publications, but all advertising and marketing titles.”
