- About Me:
- I believe that communication is a critical part of leadership. I strive for open, frequent communication in daily interactions with all “customers;” from my staff and the shared services teams who need direction and coordination on deliverables and to always keep in mind the company mission; to the faculty whom help us deliver rich peer to peer education; and to the commercial organizations that fund us and need to know the educational program’s impact.
Diane Monjay
Area Business Director, Wyeth
- Location:
- Newport Beach, CA
- Leadership:
- Member, So California Chapter
- About Me:
- A key component of Leadership is maintaining productivity and morale. If you create a “fun” friendly atmosphere devoid of accountability and conflict, the end result is lack of discipline, and dysfunction. However, if you create a high accountability culture with a controlling, micro-management atmosphere, your people may not be confused on the direction you want, but they won’t trust you, nor will they grow and develop. The highest performers who thrive and develop are those that feel their management provides them with 3 things: Measurement of their success, Relevance of their job, and Acknowledgement of them as people and performers. Balancing People and Business is an ongoing but motivating challenge. And when you hit that correct balance, your job as a Leader is fulfilling.
Donna Butchko
Vice-President, Leadership Systems, Inc.
- Location:
- Ottsville, PA
- Leadership:
- Greater Philadelphia Area
- About Me:
- The most important thing that I have learned about leadership is that you want to learn it before you need it, because if you wait until you start to lead, you will be too late. Begin with self-leadership and a vision, and when you find followers looking to you, you will be ready. I realized this during a crisis as a front-line supervisor in my twenties. People looked to me, and it was time to lead.
