HBA Greater Philadelphia Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

Do you feel like you want to get involved with the organization but feel lost or overwhelmed when you come to meetings? Do you wish you knew some people in the Philadelphia Chapter that have similar backgrounds or skills as you, so you can start to feel connected and engaged? Are you looking to expand your professional network? If so, please volunteer! Volunteers are the HBA’s lifeline and the most critical asset of our organization. Our variety of volunteer roles can offer you the opportunity to develop new skill sets or explore areas of interest outside your regular “work life.”

Membership Committee

The objective of the HBA GP membership committee is to demonstrate the value of the HBA to grow and retain members by enhancing the overall experience of HBA GP. If you believe in the value of being an HBA member, you too can get involved by providing radical hospitality as a member of the HBA GP membership committee.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Recruitment and New Member Outreach
This is a great way to meet new people. Time required: Two hours/month plus time at events.

Communication to new members, welcoming them to the chapter and/or events
Serve as “buddies” to new members at events
Staff the welcome table at events and serve as subject matter-experts on HBA-GP membership
Help identify and execute recruitment campaign tactics

Member Retention
This is an excellent way to create one-on-one relationships with new people and expand your personal network. Time required: One hour/week.

Communication of renewal notifications
Help identify and execute retention campaign tactics

Membership Insights and Analytics
This is an opportunity to enhance analytical skills in a safe environment while strategically informing membership decisions. Time required: One hour/week.

Partner with market research sub-committee on membership analytics
Identify membership insights, trends and areas for improvement
