HBA St. Louis Chapter wants to help you get engaged!

HBA St. Louis Chapter encourages members to sharpen their current skills, gain new expertise, broaden their understanding of the healthcare industry, increase their visibility, and meet new people through participating in the chapter.

Committee service and sponsorships are the engines that power the HBA. The talent and enthusiasm of our members are what make our programs so dynamic and relevant. Join us and make a difference!

What currently open volunteer opportunities are available?

  • Market Research
    Assist with analysis of market research data, should be familiar with pivot tables and filters. A volunteer is needed to help with event surveys and exit surveys.
  • Program Committee
    Seeking a co-chair of the committee who will assist the programs director, “learn the ropes” and may be interested in becoming program director in the future. We also need a venue coordinator (responsible for room/AV equipment set-up at events). Several of our great volunteers on the committee could benefit from having a partners to share the duties and act as back up as needed including an email communications back-up who would work with current volunteer to help prepare set up forms which are the basis for email blasts for events. In addition we have volunteers who currently coordinate food at events working with the caterers and a speaker liaison who would benefit from having someone assist them!
  • Corporate Relations Committee
    Meet and network with local healthcare leaders in order to obtain sponsorships and donated meeting locations/food. Develop leads so that we can locate interested leaders and develop relationships.
  • Mentoring Committee
    The objective of the HBA St. Louis Chapter mentoring program is to harness the power of the group to provide guidance, resources, and support to mentees who set and work toward goals. Each mentoring group is made up of one mentor and one or two mentees who establish their own goals and meetings in person over the course of six months. Develops, plans, and implements mentor/mentee events throughout the program year.
  • Event Registration Desk and Greeting Committee
    Arrive early at events and set up registration table and signage, greet attendees, take payment and paperwork for onsite registration, provide information re volunteer opportunities, register new members.
