Each year the HBA formally recognizes individual members in the industry that demonstrate extraordinary achievements on the job. These HBA awards have achieved such recognition that they are now special annual events attracting thousands of participants.

HBA Woman of the Year (WOTY) Award

The annual HBA Woman of the Year (WOTY) Award luncheon—which has become a gold standard for industry events—to honor one woman whose accomplishments and entrepreneurial spirit have resulted in significant contributions to the healthcare industry.

HBA Rising Stars

HBA Rising Stars are up-and-coming professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education and market research, among other fields. Nominated by HBA's corporate members, the Rising Stars represent various career stages and disciplines, and have demonstrated noteworthy achievements and proven attention to furthering their careers.

HBA Honorable Mentor Award

The HBA created the Honorable Mentor Award in 2001 to annually honor one man who has demonstrated long-term support of the advancement of women in the healthcare industry. Specifically the honoree must have a personal dedication to developing, mentoring and promoting women in the industry, and be actively supportive of the HBA.

Star Volunteer

In 1999, the HBA established its Star Volunteer award to honor one member who has made a significant commitment and contribution to the association and its members.

ACE Award

The HBA has a long tradition of honoring individual contributions. With the ACE Award, the association has now taken the next step -- formally recognizing corporate initiatives that advance and enhance the careers of women in healthcare-related industries.
